Announcement:The Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) F-35A Operational Beddown was published in the Federal Register on 22 March 2018. The Scoping period extends through 11 May 2018. The United States Air Force (USAF) will consider all written comments received as part of the scoping process. This website allows the USAF to share information with the public through the EIS process. During the public review periods, this website will be available to accept comments from the public on the EIS documents.

Scoping Meetings: Scoping meetings are hosted to inform the public about the proposed action and alternatives under consideration, and to “scope” important issues to evaluate in the EIS. The Scoping meetings will be arranged in a “come and go,” open house format with no formal USAF presentation or opportunity for public testimony. Written comments will be accepted. The scoping meetings will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M in the following communities on the following dates:
1.Homestead Air Reserve Base (ARB) - 17 April 2018, at the William F. Dickenson Community Center, 1601 N. Krome Ave., Homestead, FL 33030
2.Naval Air Station (NAS) Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base (JRB) – 19 April 2018, at the Cendera Center, 3600 Benbrook Hwy., Fort Worth, TX 76116
3.Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (AFB) – 24 April 2018, at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Ave., Tucson, AZ 85701
4.Whiteman AFB – 26 April 2018, at Knob Noster High School, 504 S. Washington Ave., Knob Noster, MO 65336
