The USAF announced that Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona; Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida; Naval Air Station
Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas; and Whiteman AFB, Missouri, were candidate bases for the first Reserve-led F-35A Lightning II location.

The USAF announced that NAS JRB Fort Worth, Texas, has been identified as the preferred alternative for a Reserve-led F-35A main operating base.
Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona; Homestead ARB, Florida; and Whiteman AFB, Missouri were identified as the reasonable alternatives. All four bases will
be evaluated equally in the EIS with the recognition that NAS JRB Fort Worth is the Preferred Alternative.
